Published Work

I am continuously reading different journals, magazines, and collections of creative works in order to determine if my particular style [of writing] could be considered for publication in any of them. My poetry and short stories ponder life and the human connection. On this page I will announce and showcase my published work. In some instances I will provide information for you to purchase the publication through my Amazon associate link.

January 17, 2016 – I submitted a poem to the National Amateur Poetry Competition and got notified that my poem advanced to the semi-final round. All poems that make it past the initial “weeding-out” process pretty much advance to this level. I see this as a positive because at the amateur level it establishes that I am able to follow rules of submission. It also says that the editors thought enough of my piece that they wanted to include it in the anthology. To find out more about who the winners were check out  Poetry Nation. Who knows…you might just be their next winner!

November 7, 2015 – A few months ago I submitted a few of my poems to W.A.M. (Warren Artists Market). After a few weeks I received notification that my poems were accepted for publication in their upcoming anthology. Today I am providing an Amazon link for anyone who would like to purchase that anthology. This is the first time my creative work has ever been published and I am extremely excited!  Below is a picture of the cover and just under that is a clickable link that will take you to Amazon if you would like to purchase the book.

Life Preserved: Memories: An Anthology

Full disclosure: If you click an Amazon link anywhere on my blog page, I will get paid by Amazon (a very meager percentage) from the purchase you make.
